I know it might be morally questionable for some of you, but people are getting ahead in life by doing a lot worse things. I've helped many people get jobs. Don't put anything past yourself to make a change in your life.

There are not useless. Some jobs require you to have a degree just to be able to work there. They just want to know you have completed college.

Want a job in customer success? Just get a 4 year in fine arts or something unrelated.

Want a job in education? Get a degree in English and teach overseas.

ESL teachers usually need a degree. You'll have to get around that by actually going back to college, although I'll tell you this gig is already oversaturated with Indians or third worlders in general.

You can't fool background checks... unless you have the money for it, which I highly doubt given where you come from (and neither would it be affordable for me). At least you have some work experience (meaning it boosts your chances of getting a blue collar job), and that is something many of us can't truly fake.

Keep in mind I'm not trying to bring up by any means a negative mindset, that wasn't the point of my previous reply. The problem is, reality presents itself as rather negative and grim, and I'm trying to get used to these circumstances as I try to navigate through adult life unfortunately.

You really don't know anything about this. There are many ways to circumvent the potential problems you've listed. People are doing things like this all the time to get jobs and you are delusional if you think people aren't. Instead of spreading negative energy and doubt, encourage people to look into this.

Depends on the type of background check. Usually, for most jobs, the background checks are only for criminal history. Transcripts can be forged too, on special paper. HR department aren't wasting their time calling universities for customer service positions. If you are overseas, forget about it.

I usually recommend people sya they attended a college or university that is jo longer operational so attendance can't be verified.

All of the problems you listed are what's preventing you and other people from taking that step and getting a job.

If you are suffering and desperately need a job, why not take that risk?

Expose and discipline? The worst that can happen is you get fired. Now you have work experience. You don't even have to tell the next employer the reason you were fired. No company is going to waste resources in disciplining for a mental job. Maybe for a position like director or CFO sure.
