Comfy "Atmospheric" Anime Recommendations

What are some atmospheric anime, similar to Serial Experiments Lain, Welcome to the NHK, and to a certain extent Death Note? When I say atmosphere, I mean anime that I can watch at night and have it make me think - if that makes sense. Whether it be the plot, music, or style; though, I guess that all counts in making an anime atmospheric.
Basically, in short, what I'm looking for is an anime that will keep me awake at night after watching an episode or two during the late evening. One that really makes you think of life and whatnot.
I haven't watched Serial Experiments Lain to completion yet, though it is the sort of vibe I'm looking for. Welcome to the NHK is an anime I really enjoyed and is probably my all-time favourite, so one akin to that would be nice, too. Maybe one about a NEET/hikikomori would be cool. Death Note has a nice vibe and atmosphere as well, but mostly due to the nostalgia and music.

Boogiepop Phantom (2000) is very similar to Lain if you haven't already seen it.
Texhnolyze and Monster may be what you're looking for as well.

Parasyte: The Maxim is pretty good.
Death Parade is similar in tone to Death Note, I think Light even makes a cameo lolol.
Higurashi is super atmospheric imo. Steins;Gate has a pretty thick denpa atmosphere but you probably already watched that.

Nah, but I've been recommended my weeb friends in high school. My anime interest is more recent. I was always into manga and light novels but anime is more of a 2024 thing. I used to watch Death Note a tonne in school, though. That was about the only one I cared for, though, even with my weeb mates' recommendations jfl.
