CMV: Politics is a COMPLETE waste of time

Even more so the fact that people have to turn EVERY discussion onto a left vs right spectrum. Can't people just see how futile the entire concept is? Just because I'm an atheist and despise the oligarchy doesn't remotely have to mean that I wish immigrants to flood the nation. Even casting a vote is total bullcrap. I've yet to see any major change take place after a new political leader is elected into office. The entire concept is purely mental gymnastics for no essential reason.

I've made money by seeing the trends and predicting the future with options trading. For example, if airlines are going to go bust, you know the government will bail them out, so you open a long position out for a few months and then wait for the relief aid. If you're tapped into politics and geopolitics, there's a lot of easy opportunities for wealth.

A real life example I used awhile back was when the South Korean president declared a coup and locked himself into a government building. I immediately rushed and shorted the Korean stock market and made like 500-1000% gains (forget the number now) and I ended the position once I saw the coup was going to be ended.

Also politics can be fun sometimes if you're bored

Next time you are "reborn" in this planet by any chance, make sure you're either born into an aristocrat family or at the very least, descend from Jewish Ashkenazi parents... as long as they are part of the bourgeoisie so you're able to learn the ropes for things like banking or just managing businesses in general.

Most people including me, are very dumb and politically undereducated. These people should never participate in politics or have right to vote. Politics should be reserved to educated intellectual but the thing is these people are economic oligarch who only works for their own benefit in modern era. So it won't just work like ancient athen.
