It changed for the better in my last year of high school when I stopped being fat and noticed that people treated me much better, but for whatever reason in uni I turned back to being an isolated weirdo, at least I'm healthy now.

Who said it was with the same group of people? Since I took a sabbatical year the people I met were new and knew nothing about me, and it's extremely obvious how I was treated much worst by people when I was fat. Maybe I'm missing something since you're the genius here.
