Discussion Drunk neighbor wanted to fuck me then chased me, what should I do

I was watching a movie at 1AM then I heard a knock on my door, I ignored it because it was so late however the guy kept knocking so I then went to the door and asked who it was, it was my neighbour. He said he needed my keys to get out of the building because someone took his keys, me being trusting just gave him my keys. 15 minutes later he comes back and gives me my keys, however my key buzzer thing to get into the building is missing, I didn't realize this until he left. While he was there he kept wanting to fuck me, saying it was "fun" and telling me to turn around so he could do it or jerk me off. I kept telling him he was just tired and needed to go to bed. He then comes right up to me then almost trips, I hold him up and basically guide him out of my place.

Then I realize the buzzer is missing, but he comes back with it, I take it out of his hand, hes drunk. he then goes on about fucking me etc. then says he needs to go somewhere, I don't want to give him my keys again. he says that most people would have stolen the buzzer and since he gave it back to me he should get to keep it, even though it would mean that I couldn't get into my building. I agree to follow him to get his keys back from someone? I don't know whats going on. When we get there he starts knocking on this persons door at like 1:30AM in the morning, then suddenly he wants my keys again. I say no then he gets really angry and chases me saying he will beat me up. I end up locking him in the courtyard then get up to my place. I then let him back into the building because I don't want him freezing to death. He then knocks on my door saying I'm dead. I shout that I'm going to call the police, but I didn't obviously.

Wtf should I even do? I'm paranoid that I have to live next to this crazy person now. Should I tell management or call the police? Like wtf. Hes going to calm down from all that drugs and alcohol hes likely consumed however hes still batshit crazy. Honestly thinking about sleeping with a baseball bat or something next to me incase he decides that he can try to bust down my door.

I think he acted like this because he sees me as a weak target, help wanted given I'm too autistic to know what to do in this situation.

Sounds like it. Entering someone's apartament without consent is not a slap-on-the-wrist criminal offense given you can prove it. Find a way to document what's happening in your apartment (laptop webcam, for example) and buy a pepper spray. Don't empty it into his face unless absolutely necessary.

Baseball bat is an illegal to use weapon, same as a knife.

Honestly I'm just not going to answer the door again, maybe I'll get a video doorbell thing so I can check. I can't really do anything about him listening when I'm leaving, I guess I'll just have to run out or something. I doubt he will do anything while sober, but hes crazier than I thought so who knows.

Ive had the same experience before i swear to God i have but at that time he came from arizona to visit me and i had no weapon. Next day he swatted me. Just saying its self defense because they may actually do this and have a weapons yk??? Still a threat according to the law because they are harrasing you

The management are already aware of it given on CCTV it showed me running away from him, I guess things are going to be sorted out or what not. However I'm still going to be paranoid leaving the building.

I think my mistake was letting him come in then playing his games while he was drunk. If I had just let him destroy his place while screaming at the top of his lungs then none of this would have happened. He maybe would have gotten in trouble with something else, however it is what it is.

Lesson learned is don't trust people and always think about their intentions etc. especially if they are drunk and knocking on your door at 1AM.

Just to come back to this thread, I ended up getting one which acts as a deterrent
