Media Frieren is pretty good

Has anyone else watched it, what were your thoughts? I hardly watch anime nowadays but people kept saying it was great, I wouldn’t call it a masterpiece but it’s pretty good. It’s one of the few anime I don’t get bored of watching after 5 minutes in. The characters aren’t very unique or special but Frieren really makes the show. Her flashbacks with Himmel are pretty wholesome too, the old crew seemed to have been a better fit than the current one. I’ll keep watching hopefully it stays entertaining because there’s not much out there for me

Only the first episode. Nothing in particular stands out to me so I haven't gone back to it. But the animation is high quality.

That and Undead Unluck were my favorite seasonal anime. I think people shouldn't drop it based on EP 1 alone. I think you need like at least 3 eps to know what kind of anime it's gonna be. I also was doubtful after just the first episode.

Just watched 3 episodes but the German names are kinda cringe sometimes. I will probably continue watching it at some point though.

Frieren means „to freeze“ like when you‘re really cold so more like shivering, by the way.

Loved it, it reminds me of this old novel called The Death of a Nobody by Jules Romain. It explores the idea of remembrance.
