I plan on going to Evening Mass at the local cathedral (where I was baptised and went through Holy Communion and Reconciliation) tonight. It's currently 3am so I should probably get some sleep soon, but I'm quite excited to go. It's been a few years since I last went. I think going to Mass every week (at least twice a week: Fridays and Wednesdays and possibly Sunday Morning Mass) will be good for me and give me a sense of community. I think perhaps I've become too "blackpilled" over the past year, and thus I need some semblance of sanity in my life.
Perhaps .net isn't a good influence, and nor is my decade-long use of 4chan (since I was about 14-15; 25 as of now), but I think attending Mass every week and reading my Bible (KJV, of course) again will give me another sense of meaning and purpose. Of course, I already identified as a Catholic, just not a practicing one. I was raised Catholic but never took it seriously until I went through Holy Communion and Reconciliation (I was baptised as a baby) and even then, I didn't like it so much because I would have preferred to stay home and play Habbo Hotel. But still I went, ate the Holy Bread and drank the Wine.
I think, on that note, that it's just a kid thing to not want to go to things their grandparents (in my case) or parents want them to do, such as attending family events or church. This is especially true if you are a kid that prefers to stay online and play video games. This was the case with me.
My only issue with religious folks are, that they tend to try to push their beliefs down others' throats. I do not like that about Christians, Muslims, Hindus, etc. For me, that's wrong and God gave us free will for a reason: so we can choose what to believe in. To push it down the throats of those who are uninterested is, to me, heresy.
I apologise for the long thread, frens. Just thought I'd discuss some things going on.
