Has anyone ACTUALLY managed to accomplish/learn anything while NEET?

Maybe my work ethic is shit. but other than reading random BS I barely have the motivation to do anything productive while NEETING

The idea is that the free time NEETdom grants you would be used to learn valuable skills and whatnot. But has anyone actually you know, done that? Seems most NEETs just goon all day and the people that would've had the motivation to do anything worthwhile would never have ended up neet to begin with

I’ve pretty much played guitar in all my free time to the point I’m burned out. Thankfully my strings snapped so I have to wait for new ones to deliver.
In the meantime I’ve been counting songs with weird time signatures till I’m able to transcribe them.
This I count as 9/8 3/4 3/4 7/8 only commenting here so I can come back for future reference

No, because we ended up in this position due to low iq and low iq individuals don't do those things.

I'm trying to work on some skills and learn something worthwhile but it's tough, I don't have any energy. I sleep like 10 hours and I'm still tired after that, so I take multiple naps and before I know it the day is over and I haven't done anything. If anyone knows why could this be please let me know, maybe I'm sick or something.

I read a lot of philosophy & polisci which makes me sound pretty educated conversationally. Most normies like to talk about that shit because it's "deep" or sm I think the opposite these days but still nice to have.

I've learned some things from reading, watching lectures or chatting with people online that are very knowledgeable on a subject. I sometimes get in moods where I'll study an hour or more a day, every day, for a month or two of some random subject that interests me. I think I'd get burnt out and get depressed if I was forced to study/work, it's only fun when you're learning something you're interested in of your own free will.

I spent my neet time working out emotional and depressive problems in my mind and now I have a good framework to work with when I go to my job.

I spent my neetdom like a retreat into solitude and it worked out alright. I also got back into playing drums but my electric drumkit broke midway through and I couldnt afford to replace it. Until now that is...

When I was a NEET I taught myself pure math. I worked myself up to the point where I could read graduate-level textbooks. I also started working out then and got fairly consistent, didn't get very big or anything but made progress.

No lmao. Bounced between a hundred things but only made moderate progress before giving up. Programming, music, drawing, cooking, knitting, 3d modelling, etc. Still have stuff on my computer named "test_project1.gd" and whatnot. I read history and philosophy from time to time which makes me sound smart but I fucking hate it. Get me out of this hell

Same with me down to the same hobbies like 3d, cooking, history philosophy etc

If you put a decent amount of time into them its not a total waste imo. So many people do absolutely nothing and end up dumber than they started

Well I’m ‘technically’ not NEET but never made it past the tutorial stage in anything ngl. It seems like I’ll hit an obstacle and stay still for however long until I forget about it.

I managed to learn Java, write some projects, learn french but everything basically wound up not being finished or useful for anything. Then I just lost motivation for everything just like you.
You just skipped the french phase and went straight to the rot phase. Sounds like a quicker way to do it.
Tout le monde a sa manière de faire le choses mais tout finira à la même place.

I learned how to tolerate people more without reacting impulsively. Additionally, not caring as much about things around me and becoming more indifferent helped me not overthink when picking up or doing new things. As time has passed and I've talked to many different types of people, I've had more opportunities to figure myself out, rather than being a product of norms and things I never wanted to conform to.

It's important to exercise your mind OP, rotting and gooning all day just deep fries your mind into oblivion. At that point it's not being a NEET but rather a rotter with no will to live :feelsbad:. Everybody has different interests so I suggest pick something and do it, editing and making videos was always a dream of mine and I wish to continue expanding my knowledge on it. I'm a amateur at it but I will get there one day!
