Absolute truths and one dimensional arguments will always fall flat for complex issues such as art, social aspects etc.
Before you say anything, always challenge yourself and find faults in reasoning that are one dimension or an absolute truth.
For example : You are about to argue with someone on how surgeries make more impact than softmaxxing always.
The surface thinker mind this could be true because they think hard maxxers can change bone structure and absolute ratios etc.
The knowledgeable man relies on his old school info and thinks with what he already knows. So from his point of view, most ascension done by leaning down = softmaxx bigger than hard maxxing in most situations
The man who self reflects will stop and think against his bias. Naturally no one is a centrist. We all in some way shift to one side of the spectrum. The special ability of the man who self reflects is that he is ABLE to see through his bias and think " Okay I might be wrong, let me clear my biases and see if I can find a fault in the statement I was about to make! ".
Thus the man who self reflects comes up with the most mature and deep answer, and it is that there is no correct answer.
Whether it is a softmaxx or hardmaxx, whichever treatment is completely reliant on the individuals baseline and flaws.
You might think this is water but most people genuinely can't catch themselves forgetting to self reflect and will sperg on bias thoughts which leads to violence or arguments without any end goal.
How to self reflect better?
Best way by far is getting a journal to log your reasoning and thoughts for EVERYTHING you disagreed with that day/ANYTHING that has annoyed you that day.
Second way is to just stop and think about what you are about to say. Then I want you to ARGUE with yourself. Try to win against yourself and you will find weak points or flaws in your reason. This is ESPECIALLY helpful in arguments, most people do this subconciously, doing this while being incredibly self aware is a cheat code.
Will release high effort version if anyone is actually interested in this
