While we were fed with carefully selected and kosher nu-metal bands from MTV, this guy released his music independently (for ten years at that point and mostly through weird "Christian" labels) and became an Internet phenomenon.

The album was as big as Linkin Park's Meteora and it was still pleasant to relisten it every now and then.

I listened to a lot of Celldweller in my hard-rock gaming phase from 2009-2012 btw. I first heard Switchback on NFS: MW some years before this though.
But the best tracks of his are imo: So Long Sentiment, Own Little World, Eon.

I was listening to this in 2004 (Психея/Psychea) and going to their concerts as a 15/16 yo was quite insane
