The hardest work is to do nothing

So as I came home from my college abroad (initially for a holiday but stuck due virus) my dad requested the best 'solution for my neetdom' is marriage.
The only thing I said was that I don't own a house to live with my wife so I can't convince a girl to marry me. But if you are capable of arranging a girl anyway, I'm ready, screw it.
So my parents 'picked a candidate' for me. A girl who used to work for my dad 6-7 years ago, haven't seen her since then.
They praised how she was smart, hardworking, a virgin who "kept herself" for her only one. 'A perfect match for me'. And I'm like, so when's the wedding? And they're like, "you must meet her, talk with her first".
It puzzled me, since according to islamic principles I thought I ain't supposed to see her before marriage? But anyway, I go and meet her
