Depression I wish I was NEET again.

I have been working at a gas station for a few months now and I fucking hate it so much. The pay is dogshit(10$ an hour), only one of my coworkers can speak English, and I have been reduced to literally cleaning toilets. I was significantly happier as a NEET, even if I literally just rotted online until my eyes burned out of my sockets. Now they have me working overnights too so my entire schedule gets fucked up because of it. I am trying to quit but I need the money to fix my transportation so I can get a different miserable job that hopefully pays better at least.

It is possible, I am mostly supported by family anyways. The only problem is that I think my mother likes having me under her control, and she kind of abuses that. Not violently or anything, but it isn't a very enjoyable experience sometimes.

I worked in a prison which was very high stress hence taking a toll on my mental health because I couldnt make a mistake otherwise it wouldnt be good, it was a decent job but not worth all the stress and depression because I already suffer a lot mentally

I am also mostly supported by family and yeah my mother used to like to attempt to control me but I recently told her in the kindest way possible to give me space and that I am not interested in destroying my mental health and being a slave

A prison definitely sounds high stress. I can imagine it would be novel at times, but even for me working at a gas station, I feel a little worried about my interactions with angry black lesbians coming in close to midnight. I can't even imagine how stressful it would be to have angry, androgenic, literal murderers surrounding you all the time. At the very least you said it was decent, so I assume the pay was not bad.

I think a lot of devouring mother types are responsible for ruining the mental health and drive of their sons. I feel it is probably very common among many modern reclusive men. Even now my mother tries to guilt me for the few times that I actually stood up against her being insane and overbearing, acting as though I am some evil little monster and that she is pure of heart and innocent. I do not really believe that she even loves me, but I think that she loves the idea of having a son, or of her idealized family.

I hate it very much, and my boss seems to get off on bullying me and humiliating me. He can hardly speak English, so if I ask him questions, he gets extremely angry and starts yelling at me as if I should already know this. He was absolutely no help at all when I had started, and just expected me to know everything the first time. I just play on my phone most of the time now because idc anymore, but it is still irritating to have to be there.I had been looking at warehouse jobs, which are also shit, but at the very least you can have no customer interaction or toilet duty.

maybe you could take some courses and become a security guard? i heard night shifts are pretty easy in office type enviroments. I heard you dont really have to do much.

Do you meet the requirements for welfare or SSI. If you're one of the few in a low income housing environment you could potentially tell the government to pay you to stay at home. Since unemployment and health conditions are mainly the requirements for welfare. (This only applies if you live in the states that is, don't know much about individual state laws that prohibit certain things about welfare.)

I don't believe I do, I live at home with my family in a literal closet.

Just quit. It‘s a dead end job anyway and I wouldn‘t deal with being bossed around by some dumb foreigner if I were you.

I think I will do just that that, however I have to get just a little money first as I had some unplanned expenses pop up.
