If you ask me, happiness involves three things

1. Physical means of just surviving
2. Worthwhile way to spend time
3. Independence/freedom

Which eventually just boils down to being able to NEET and focus on hobbies without either people bothering you or worrying about not being able to pay for shit

The happiest times in my life were when my parents weren’t home, I had a game to focus on that I wanted to finish and I ditched school or was summer break
Probably if you had a real genuine passion like art or music and could spend a lot of your time on this it’d mog too, but I don’t have anything like that now.

Yes but an underrated point is that happiness isn't meant to be an all the time thing. By definition it's sporadic which is why it comes from the same root word as haphazard

You're in the right track with passions. If you have purpose in things like passion. You gain the fortitude to bare pain, and you can attain moments of happiness

But you arent meant to chase happiness. Think back to our discussion of freedom

Immanuel kant regarded freedom as a higher virtue than happiness, because happiness is indeterminate. Alot of what you're discussing comes down to freedom, which is a prerequisite to happiness but not a guarantee of it. That's the thing about happiness again. It's like chasing a butterfly

Yeah, I don't really mean happiness as a specific emotion but a general positive/satisfactory state
Like, boiling it down to elementary terms, I like my life, I enjoy living, I look forward to tomorrow and waking up in the morning.
A goal provides this too even if it requires suffering or you to feel pain, you enjoy chasing that sort of

tldr these are the things I want in my life and I realize that when I enjoy my life the most I have these
