Discussion If you were a game dev, what game would you make?

I think most chronically online people have fantasies of wanting to make their own video game. It would be fun to make my own twist on games that I enjoy. If I were to make a game... hmm... It would be a story-based RPG that incorporates hard science concepts and lots of sci-fi elements.

If you were a game developer, what kind of game would you make? What ideas would you express?​

I'll make one of those "offline MMO" RPGs that have simple combat but lots of overlapping systems and everything you do is optional including story. Way too big of a scale for my little brain but a fella has to dream

I didn't really understood what you mean but there's eratoho for text based porn game that heavily relies on your ability to visualize.

I would make a game that would mix the qualities of WoW in terms of social structure and objectives, such as raids and objectives like mounts and collectibles, but i would change it in a way that would encourage these items to be sold for extremely high prices. I would basically make a game that is hard, grindy but not repetitive, i would make the encounters skill-based so that after you do it enough times, you will get really good at it. The encounters would be procedurally generated (the ones that matter, where the best loot comes from, where people go to get impressive achievements)

Loot system would be based on something like OSRS and Path of Exile i dont want to write an essay but i would try to make it simple and make the player really feel how an item upgrade makes them powerful, and also include some things from PoE.

In terms of graphics, and setting i dont really know how i would deveop it but medieval dark fantasy is just perfect for this type of game.

Trading would be the biggest thing after raiding / achievements. Those skilled in whatever it might be, combat or crafting will make nice money in game.

And of course i would try to implement some type of system like Valve has with CS skins, i dont know how but the item quality and power would factor into the price of these items. I also dont want to make it P2W so i dont know how balanced it would be.
