Discussion If your parents died?

How would you feel when the day comes in where your parents passes away? Do you think you’ll be able to cope with such a thing, how much time do you think they have left?

I’ll probably be hit hard, the past have been bittersweet with them but they’re still my parents they’re one of the few people who care about me and vice versa so doubt I’ll take it well. I’m sure that time isn’t so soon, at worst they have 15 years left, at best maybe 30ish but I hope they stay alive as long as possible

i didnt really care when my grandpa died even though he was cool and we talked a lot, i didnt cry in his funeral, didnt feel a "deep sadness" as most people describe when losing someone, so i don't know what i would feel if my actual parents died
but maybe i only felt like that because he was just my grandpa, maybe it will hit different when its my mom and dad who directly created me
