I‘m gonna binge read the One Piece manga

I have been meaning to for a while now. Several months in fact. I stopped watching the anime after I got to the Dressrosa arc and rewatched the movies.

I read the Dressrosa arc is even longer than the previous one in Punk Hazard so I‘ll just read the colored manga version of the manga online to get it over with faster just like I did with Dragon Ball Super. I‘ll probably watch the Wano arc though since it‘s supposed to be entertaining and worth warching from what I have read. I also watched the last arc of the DBS anime because it was more exciting and compared it to the manga to see the differences they made.

I‘ll probably watch the Egghead arc too. I just can’t be bothered to watch Dressrosa for a month.

Maybe I‘ll be done after the weekend if I just read the manga. I was done in less than a week when it came to DBS but I think it might take like two weeks or longer assuming I also watch the majority or the entirety of the Wano arc.

Regarding the anime, there's a version of the anime done by fans called One Pace where you can watch episodes with all the filler being cut. I dont remember the website link but if you google it you can find it. I think it was banned in some EU countries so I used a USA vpn to watch them

Dressrosa for example is reduced from 120 episodes to just 40-60 by cutting all filler.

I can’t remember exactly but I think I finished the colored manga version of DBS in like 3 days and the rest of the tournament arc maybe took like 2 days. I don’t remember though so it could have been a week or two that it took me to finish DBS. I also read the two arcs after the tournament arc though. I stopped when it got to that highschool arc. Felt like filler to me and I lost interest in Dragon Ball Super at that point anyway.

I remember. I watched the pre time skip arcs when I was like 15 or 16 during the summer holidays on One Pace. I also watched like 300 episodes of that Fishman Island arc. Which I kinda regret not also watching compressed.

No idea if Dressrosa is even interesting enough to me to watch like 60 episodes. I would probably be done with the equivalent manga chapters in like 3-5 hours.

Punk Hazard was boring the majority of the time too. I doubt Dressrosa is gonna be much better. Doflamingo seems like a shitty villain but I don’t know much about him. I guess his laugh isn’t gonna be as annoying as Caesar Clown‘s though. @parzurnacs

I already wasted too much time on the mediocre One Piece anime. I enjoyed some parts here and there. But the pre-time skip One Piece was definitely better in some aspects.

I honestly thought Fishman Island arc was worse but I almost have no recollection of it since I watched it in 2012 or 2013. I finished it back then and started Punk Hazard earlier this year and finished it in a couple weeks.

I liked Monet that bird girl with green hair that worked for Caesar Clown. But everything else I didnt like it, I found stupid that some pirates would spend their time saving some kids while risking their lifes if they're not gonna get anything in return, makes them look more like superheroes than pirates.

True. I just started my laptop and I stopped at episode 624-627 and I can use One Pace without a VPN. They even have the episodes subbed in German. The translation might lack because they probably translated the English subtitles but I may consider watching it in German since I have been watching English subs for years now because I watched more obscure anime that didn’t get German subs or I was too lazy to look for them.

Dressrosa, Whole Cake and Wano arc are each 20 hours on One Pace each. Damn. I could probably finishing reading the manga arcs in like 8 hours during this weekend if I focused and tried. 60 hours is crazy. I could finish Final Fantasy VII Rebirth with that amount of time. Lol

I might enjoy the anime versions of the arcs more though. Not sure if I should dedicate time to watching them.

I never read the manga because one of my favorite things in One Piece is the soundtrack tbh, even if I had to watch the anime with all the filler
