Dragon Ball is overrated. I say that as a person who watched DB, DBZ, DBS, most movies and read the DBS manga.

Then again you have to give it credit for inspiring other mangaka who surpassed Dragon Ball. Out of all the seasons regular Dragon Ball was probably the best.

I could just tolerate watching it back then because I played Dragon Ball Legends while watching it.

Same goes for One Piece. I enjoyed it while playing that One Piece gacha One Piece Bounty Rush but once I quit I had no interest in it anymore.
