Tobacco is pretty bad. Although vaping may be worse.
Vaping has not proven to be safe at all. Unless something has changed. I wouldn't take the risk.

Vaping has been recently discovered to leave eroded metal fragments in your Body AND Accelerate your Heart Rate. Vapes can also explode in your hand or on a Desk causing a Fire. Oh; And another thing about Vaping; People who have never Smoked to begin with, Vape as a gateway drug to Smoking.

All things considered, I would say Smoking is safer, therefore, better.

Haven't tried vaping normally but I do use a weed vape quite frequently, it's really good (Fury Edge if anyone is curious). Compared to smoking joints or using a pipe it's much better, although I have yet to use a bong because it's hard to conceal. The main advantages of vaping weed is that it's more efficient (you don't lose any weed by burning it off with a flame) and it gets you higher because you can set it to a higher temperature (the temp I set mine at is 221C). Another benefit is that it's easy to hide and people won't be suspicious if they see it, if that's a issue for you.
