sorry to necro but have you ever been on a farm? I am a city slicker and I learned farming is fucking HARD! Its not just throwing seeds in the ground. It involves LOTS of factors such as knowing disease that affect your crops, pest control, irrigation, soil science,legal knowledge and more! Modern tractors have computers to calculate fertilizer, moisture, and many other factors. You also have to know how to program some farm equiptment. Farming is EXPENSIVE TOO! (land ain't cheap!) their are WHOLE COLLEGE degrees designated to agriculture that are fairly lucrative as well.
