IMO if I zero in on the causes of my unemployment and work on this I can fix a lot of ongoing issues in my life over time tbh
Being proactive is alien to me ngl, I'm passive 99.9% of the timeNot proactive enough, honestly. Try making a resume with a small amount of fake work experience (like 6 months working at a fast food chain or hotel front desk or something) and apply for minimum wage jobs again. After you apply, call the location and ask if they've saw your application yet. If that's not working, try working at a temp agency.
An alternative way to make money would be to open an eBay account and start selling things. It's very easy and you can make more money than you would working a normal job and you can scale up as much as you feel comfortable with. Go into Goodwill, Dollar Tree, thrift stores and other places (if you're from the USA) and start scanning QR codes with your phone and looking up items.
You can go into the dollar tree unironically and find random things to sell for 10x the profit on eBay. Goodwill is always full of resellable things. I went in some time ago and found several board games, I left after having paid $15 and the games resold for $150 altogether. A day working at a minimum wage soulless job might only net you $50-75. Spending 30 minutes walking around a thrift store and listing items on eBay is much easier and fun, don't you think?
Also Facebook marketplace + Craigslist. Dumpster diving is an unironic strat, you can find items worth $500+ altogether in the trash outside companies. I vividly recall as a child I once went with my parents dumpster diving outside PetSmart at 6am, the dumpster was full of massive bags of dogfood. We loaded it all up on the van and went to the flea market, we paid $20 for a spot for the day and started selling. By 10am at the latest, we had like $400-500, with all of it sold.
That's hustler mentality. Better to earn an easy buck than a hard one. A minimum wage job in my city would've taken 80 hours of tedious labour and my parents made it in maybe 2-3 hours selling random shit they found from the dumpster.
It's not even really thinking outside of the box, I've given you everything you need to know to start selling and making a profit. Look up items, compare their price on eBay, sell them if you'll make money. Or find free items through dumpster diving and sell to make money. You can go on Facebook marketplace and look up random items and lowball them and sell again on Facebook marketplace. Like if someone is selling a GPU worth $150 for $100, you ask to buy it for $80 and list it again for $120. $40 profit. That's great but I can't really think outside of the box like this sadly. All I want is a slave job where I can follow orders and try my best. But even that requires being proactive it's demoralising
I have no starting capital atm. I think more than anything, you seem depressed to the point of inactivity and intense demoralization. Try flooding your brain with some dopamine from a good cuppa coffee and try doing something for an hour while the elevated dopamine is there. Maybe that'll help.
Do you have anything of value to sell? Do you have any dumpsters that you could dive nearby? You might also be able to get freebies from Facebook marketplace and Craigslist if you type in free on there and search for things nearby.I have no starting capital atm. Good advice tbhDo you have anything of value to sell? Do you have any dumpsters that you could dive nearby? You might also be able to get freebies from Facebook marketplace and Craigslist if you type in free on there and search for things nearby.
Maybe it is the location or gap in your resumé. No idea. I haven’t tried applying for any job for almost 5 years and the few times I did, it was because I was indirectly forced to.IMO if I zero in on the causes of my unemployment and work on this I can fix a lot of ongoing issues in my life over time tbh
I am just very stupid, non-functional even ngl. Abnormal people struggle getting anything done in their life becasue they can't act properly and are kind of quirky.
