Lately, I have been looking at this image:
It is a reversed pentagram or, strictly speaking, a pentagram drawn wrong.
Pentagram is meant to look like the famous Soviet symbol, like this:
What do we see here?
It is a geometric figure that can be drawn without lifting the pen off the paper, in one continuous line. You can raise your hand in the air and "draw it" with your finger (saying something like "SATANA SATANA" while doing it). The human eye sees it as having five "rays".
In the types of books I used to read, the assumption was that it was first drawn in Reneissance Italy and Italians, a Catholic nation still, found it as a cute symbol to represent synthesis between Greek and Christian philosophies.
Two bottom rays symbolized Earth and Water of Antiquity (from whatever Greek philosophers came up with this and up to late Roman neoplatonism), two others stood for Air and Fire and the top ray, with a Christian twist, represented "Spirit".
If pentagram is drawn right, Spirit is located at the top of the pentagram. It stands above all other elements and conquers them.
If we turn the pentagram upside down, Spirit is located at the bottom, with Earth and Water at the top.
What am I telling you this for? I... I don't know...
Turning things upside down is female energy? Click on that Youtube vid above, it's a catchy song produced by Trent Reznor. Here's another one, Behemoth performing a very bad cover of "Wish".
