In England Secondary Schools, there is a Lower Tier/Higher Tier divide. Lower Tier can only go up to C grades, whereas, Higher Tier can go up to A*.

I was in Lower Tier. They call it Foundation Tier because they care about my feelings more than my future.

Basically, Secondary School in the UK is High School, but then in the UK, they spend 2 years doing AP on steroids which is called A Levels. They do it between 16-18 and do High school level education between 14-16. I've been to school in both countries

What makes it even worse is that, Lower Tier only covers less advanced stuff than Higher Tier.

EDIT:- OH, by the way; In England, Education don't bother telling Lower Tier they need Cs in order to pass Exams. Where as they tell Higher Tier that all the time. When Companies ask for C or above in England, they don't include Lower Tier Cs. I'm 28 and I only found out this stuff, this Year.

The country I live in has a very different grading system and subjects. I had 5 subjects biology , chemistry , physics , physical education ( P.E , sports stuff ) and english. In short the country I live in grades the student on his overall percentage based on the marks he or she scores( each subject caries 100 marks. There is 5 subjects so your percentage is your total marks/500*100 )

My marks were

Biology - 91/100
Chemistry - 81/100
Physics - 81/100
English - 66/100 ( didn't study English in my entire high school period )
P.E - 55/100 ( never studied in my entire high school period )

No RETARDED letter grading in my country so:
9-10 grades in most subjects
7-8 in anything STEM.
Also in my highschool i was fine with most subjects except fukin Romanian. (I think in every country the Native Language is taken too seriously and they make you do thousands of hard tests JFL)
