Making friends online

Recently I have been trying to make friends online including ones to potentially meet irl. Specifically ones with a similar life experience, personality and worldview as me. I have been looking on dishboard at the incel, neet, r9k and 4chan tags. I have tried looking on /soc/ on 4chan. I have even created my own discord server and tried promoting it online.

All of these attempts have been useless. Most of the people on /soc/ as well as the servers on dishboard are normies. On top of that alot of the servers are either dead or the people don't seem to actually be having any serious conversation or actually getting to know eachother and it just seems like a place to shitpost. In terms of the discord server I made barely anyone joined. In terms of the little conversation that occured it was really surface level stuff rather than any deeper conversation leading to any friendship.

I understand that is kinda expected when first talking to someone online for the first time but it never seemed like it would stray from anything else and alot of the other servers that I looked in that are far more active and have been around much longer display the same problem.

Am I just looking in the wrong places? Are there just places I am not aware of?

You wont find active discord servers or communities on public domains, you'll have to know the right people to get access to those kinds of places. Over if you dont have an e-circle or discord friends who can invite you to those active communities where people know each other and kick it back shitposting for good laughs all day.

It just happens, I personally dont because I could care less to put in an effort. My recommendation would be to just talk to or DM people in those dead servers you join in hopes that they will invite you to some active communities they might happen to be in.

Those type of friends are hard to come by since most of them don't get on those specific image boards to look for other friends with your quality of life. Also most inkwells or NEETS are hard shelled people and rarely want to discuss life with others, believe me man .is members hardly talk and post cope 9/10. It's normal though, you'll find the rare 1% who want to talk and chat and be friends with you.
