Venting Most mid Anime ever

One of the most mid Anime I have ever watched was literally Spy x Family. It's just so painful to watch this Anime and how the characters interact with each other. The only development I could sense in the whole 3 seasons is that they kind of come closer (or not?) as a fake family and that they own a dog which looks like a polar bear.

The actual reason why this family even exists feels so forced in it's writing. Due to the fact that they often build in some filler-like episodes, you forget why this family and the whole plot actually exist. But if I remember correctly Loid had to adapt this role of a father in order to come closer to some parent in his "daughters" school, when they potentially meet at some parent convention or other event the noble school hosts since his target rarely leaves his house. I thought this dude was some expert spy who is able to disguise as anyone he wants to gain information? Why isn't he doing that there too? For example disguising as a parent of some other child he knows this Damian (Target's son) is close to? Or as a teacher? But now we have a pink-haired "daughter" who can magically read minds and knows about her precious father's identity and his mission so she includes her in that mission too because she is so excited to help her nice daddy and she can live out her spy-fantasies but messes up everything in school because of her 80 IQ brain and her incapabilty to hide her ability properly. In addition this Damian is a fucking tsundere and annyoing. EVERYTHING is designed to drag out the plot as much as possible. Oh right and Yor is just there to make this lie more believable.

This Anime honestly feels like a western cartoon where every episode experiences some kind of reset in it's development. I mean, did even ANYTHING happen at all between them? Except from this mind reading bitch, no one is actually aware of the other person and nothing did happen which could change that in the slightest. If there is even the slightest hint of suspicion, it is immediately invalidated by some banal coincidence or Anya magically switches on her brain and gets rid of it (B-b-because she doesn't want to lose another p-precious family since she got so discriminated for her ability :feelsbad:)
I don't know exactly what the anime is supposed to convey. That even such "problematic" characters can come together and make a peaceful and loving family? That they find out who is who in the end and still accept and love each other because of how close they have gotten during the time and happy end? Also this constant change from comedy moments to these serious moments (Loid doing his filler missions, Yor Assassin mode, her brother Yuri with his secret identity in some secret service authority etc.) to show that they have something of everything gets on my nerves.

Actually, it started off quite interesting, but then slowed down tremendously. Next to Dragon Ball it's just another mid Anime which gets overhyped for no reason. If you seriously get a thrill out of this secret identity drama there are way better alternatives: Death Note (Light - Kira), Code Geass (Lelouch - Zero), Darker Than Black (Hei - BK201), Kaito Kid, maybe also Classroom of the Elite (recommend the Light Novel more) and ERASED (Gaku Yashiro). They provide a well thought out story and they show in an exciting and interesting way how the character deals with these risks and whether he can cope with them at all. In Spy x Family, however, any "potential" mistakes are magically removed at the end so that you can return to your generic daily life.

I think this is also a reason why Anime today are decreasing in it's quality. They're treated more like an experiment to see if this could be a good opportunity to make some money and sell a lot of merchandise, whereas back then they were more focussed on creating a really moving and interesting story.

The show is actually blackpilled in some aspects. The slavic whore betrays her country and people for a westerner because she can't resist his dick.
Wait a moment. Who exactly was that slavic bitch? Was she in season 3? I kind of forgot about her.

Is that her?

Tbh I think the series is really meant to be a slice of life sitcom for the family like home alone but more boring. The story is just there for set up
I kind of got the same impression after I finished the Anime. That would make the whole build up and premise of the story so wasted though. It seemed somehow interesting in the beginning but immediately lost it's potential after they had to drag out this whole show with this unfunny Anya comedy.

I agree, having a mix of serious arcs and actual funny humor would make it a GOAT

Yea. The humor part is also pretty overrated there. Whether it's Anya just being her dumb self, Yor punching her brother and worrying so much or Loid overanalysing trivial situations when he is together with Anya. Sometimes I let out a light grin but that was already it. Anime rarely embodies humour well enough to make you really laugh, which is why I enjoy Anime more without the comedy part.

The show isn't funny at all, just typical NormieSlop. I thought it would like an anime mr and misses smith or something. The formula got really stale after a few episodes.

Every character is some one dimensional trope, i don't understand why this even got so popular.

Actually, it started off quite interesting, but then slowed down tremendously.

Once they got togerher as a family, the entire plot stopped progressing. It's been 3 seasons and Loid still hasnt achieved his mission.

Instead of the plot progressing and evolving its remaining stagnant, he wont achieve his mission till the end of the show.

These were literally my first thoughts after I finished that show.

Unbelievable what kind of Anime getting so popular for no reason at all among Normies..

Normies legit have the worst taste, i don't even understand kaguya sama it isn't even the slightest bit funny and that shit got really repetitive.
The most interesting character there is Ishigami but I get the feeling that he is literally giga cucked by the author. Chika was the most annoying one. I wonder what she was even doing there except for "comedic variety".

That's the worst part about the fact that Anime becomes more popular among normies. They just like this isekai/fantasy and boring RomCom bullshit. Anime should have remained a niche for the weirdos but now it becomes more acceptable and therefore more shit is getting produced.

Anime wasn't niche, in the 90s and early 2000s DBZ,Pokemon and Yu Gi Oh were huge. Even in the 80s Akira was pretty mainstream and so were the Ghibli films.

The only niche anime were the weird otaku cringe slop

What I specifically mean is that in the 2000s and 2010s it was basically a reason to bully you and you were mostly considered an outsider. Dragon Ball etc. were some entry-level Anime that were airing on TV and if you were really interested in these shows it was very likely that you would engage more with Anime. Others, however, saw the series more as a nice pastime but still despised Anime as a whole.
Back then the "weird otaku cringe slop" wasn't even aired on TV but nowadays, since more people come to tolerate and like Anime, more of this shit is even getting televised.

- Monster
- Lain
- Steins;Gate
- Terror in Resonance
- Code Geass
midwits top five the list
but on a serious note tho how do u even put terror in resonance there its so fucking mid it immediately discredits any opinions you have about anime

monster/steins/code geass are good albeit

dragon ball is only enjoyable if you are a kid, if your grown and trying to watch dragon ball its gonna be impossible to enjoy. dragon ball is also nigger/spicslop, like how its fans think they are comedians for making retarded memes of goku saying "the age of consent is 4 weeks, 2 years and 18 decades rant, rant rant, rant"

DNR but its incredible how boring season 2 of spyxfamily was. season 1 was just bearable on 2x speed. & Dont get me started of frieren, was a total fucking snoozefest after episode 4. highest rated anime on MAL. shows how dumb the goys really are. its probably a good time too stop watching seasonal anime and just watch every anime ever made before 2007.

That's what you get for watching normie anime.
There's one called frieren which everyone is going on about.
Not gonna watch it.

The best anime I've watched have always been obscure ones with random oppai, gore or actions scenes which I find clips of on social media.
