People are people whether they're female or male..and most people are retarded.
Just think of how dumb the average person is and realize 50% of them are even dumber than that. So goes without saying that it is unsurprising we have people who actually believe in religions, ghosts, fairies, conspiracy theories, the flat world theory etc etc.
You don't see smart people doing that since We are too busy jerking off. I had just put an exempt from my writing into "guess the IQ of author" and had gotten 143 IQ (Genius).
I checked my reddit account in the morning and had 5x more karma than yesterday even though I hadn't posted. It sucks being a genius.
