I'm not going to rant about Master or the deradicalizers. We all know enough about them.
Last night was not just forum defining for us, it was future setting. Two paths.
Higher forum engagement would mean a rejuvenation of a depserately dead off topic board built around @RNT There's no garuntee it would've worked but no doubt we would have drawn in new users.
Failure meant no desperately needed users. No ambitious threads. The forum continuing to operate in debt and will most likely continue to cost cut at the expense of users, lurkers etc.
It's not just that we failed. Its the implications of that failure. It was the most important single day. Forum defining.
But the userbase didn't post like that. The mods didn't impact the threads that way. What we got instead was what we have come to see on .is Where was the enthuasism? Where was the desire? Where were the Threads like @Lain posted 2 weeks ago?
@glitch posted maxxed @Massimo proved he cannot be trsuted. @hikikomori should just leave, his boomer ass is done. @The Doctor was hardly able to string 2 sentences together and we lacked any new users who needed to contribute to our forum sooner.
It was a catastrophe yesterday. It hurts more because it was put on a plate. Too little too late. We needed summer engagement.
Now more than ever we will rely on our returning users (mostly autistic) to produce threads and fill in the holes in the forum.
@Proex is going to leave. @Original never posts. Can you blame them?
Now people will choose to join .is and the neet subreddit because that will give them a community which we cannot give them.
This could be the final nail in the coffin for a forum that has been dying for over 2 years. Not just since Fabio, neetgod, @Atila @Looksmax Refugee became inactive or left or when we got rid of Distrubed1 the rot had already set in
We will be studied as the fall of the giant "Too big to fail".
The forum won't be closed down. But our days of being the place to be is now over. The life support has been pulled. We are dead.
RIP the neets.net we knew and loved.
