My parents are in their 60’s and still working despite heart attack and deteriorating health. I saw my mum at the supermarket today and she looked so worn out. They’ve worked hard their whole lives and in their minds they can’t even retire yet it’s depressing. It really cemented in my mind that there’s no point lol. I’ve barely worked in 10 years yet I have as much savings as my brother who’s never stopped working. He was so annoyed that he had to quarantine recently because it meant he couldn’t work, but what the fuck you working for you’re still broke!! People are so blind it makes me sad.
