I was bored and overlapped inline spoilers to see how many clicks it took to reveal the text. I'm too shit at maths to write this down properly, but basically, it's this sequence minus one each time: 2 4 8 16 32 etc. (i.e. 1 3 7 15 31 etc.) depending on the number of spoilers, so two spoilers overlapping takes 3 clicks, and 5 takes 31 
My theory is that this happens because subsequent spoilers can only be clicked on after having been revealed, so with 2 spoilers you have to click to open the first, then click open the second, which also shuts the first, then click to open the first again for both spoilers to be open at the same time. This is supported by the fact that you can see what's behind the spoiler get incrementally brighter then dark again.
