In the future, the government may tell me my short term memory loss is so severe that I may never be allowed to do (and even look for) work again.

If I'm told I'm not allowed to do (and even look for) work anymore by the government, would I technically still be a Neet, or would I be something else entirely?

you are NEET voluntary for the most part imo, otherwise you are on long term unemployment, if you are forced to be unemployed it is not Neetdom
