"yes my child the lord gave me this Rolex. Stop asking where all the money went"
I genuinely never understood why major Abrahamic religions need these organisations to aid people or whatever and give them official status. Aren't the written books the absolute word of God? Why is some scamming nigger reading it to me of any importance? It feels like most of these "donations" are just a way for the elders to get untaxable income with little punishment at least in America. Here in the gulf sheikhs get a fixed salary from the government and they still have other ways to swindle money I can't mention without getting police at my door. Do religious people really follow these freaks instead of reading scriptures of their own? Or is this an elaborate mass manipulation program for scamming people? Even Kenyans are getting in on it

How do pastors become millionaires anyway? I thought they had to make a vow of poverty
well, the different sects of christianity understand the relevant verse in question differently...

anyway, hope you can find something good to give your mind a bit of rest, OP. from your other posts sounds like you've been(and are going through) the grinder.

Idc tbh. Religion can be used to rationalize such things anyway. Imo the purpose of religion is to fuel things like a mandate of heaven more than some rulebook you shove up your ass.

He and his followers believe in a doctrine that if the people donate money to the preachers god will reward them with riches. This is only protestant stuff and not catholic/orthodox teachings.

It was a way to organise states after all. The easiest way to get large groups of people to cooperate is through a common cause which religion provides but getting this mega rich off it is so scummy. It's like Jewish landlords artificially bloating housing prices

Lmao what kind of shit is that
So the pope can decide what to include and what not to?

Protestantism puts the bible above the church but then you get gay pastors

Sounds like quranists pretty much. If everything is up to interpretation nothing is absolute. But if everything is up to the leader nothing is absolute either. Religion is such a clown show sometimes

I’m so done with these low IQ takes. Lutheranism – like so many great branches of Protestantism – is all about a personal relationship with God. And Martin Luther, tremendous guy, the founder of Lutheranism, he was a huge advocate, I mean really, a huge advocate for universal education. He made it our mission to teach people from all backgrounds – doesn’t matter where you’re from, doesn’t matter who you are – to read, so they could pick up the Bible and think for themselves. And guess what? This led to the establishment of free public schools. Can you believe it?

Protestants, especially our incredible missionaries, have done amazing work. They helped document and create writing systems for languages that were previously only spoken. Our scholars, the best minds, have played a significant role in standardizing languages like German, English, Finnish, Korean, Burmese, and Swahili. And let me tell you, they didn’t do this to give the state more power. No way. They did it to give people more freedom.

Protestantism is all about thinking for yourself, especially when it comes to faith. It teaches that no one – whether it’s the government, the pope, or pastors – should control what we believe. Instead, each person is free to read the Bible and decide for themselves what it means. That’s freedom, and it’s beautiful.

We call it sola scriptura, folks, which means Scripture alone – Scripture, the Bible – is the highest authority in matters of faith. It’s a beautiful thing, really. This principle is why we don’t follow any single charismatic leader or authority figure when it comes to our beliefs. No way. Like I said before, our relationship with God is personal, very personal, and no one should be telling us how to understand God or the Bible. Nobody.

Now, about women and gay pastors, look, that’s the result of democratic processes in certain Protestant denominations. We elect our representatives, they make the decisions about who can serve as pastors. It’s called democracy, people. But listen, if you don’t like it, if you disagree with these decisions, nobody’s stopping you from leaving your church. There are plenty of more conservative denominations out there that don’t allow women or gay people to serve as clergy. If that’s your thing, go for it.

Personally, I think our relationship with God is personal, and God is the ultimate judge, okay? Criticizing pastors for being gay or women? Not my business. It’s up to God to decide if it’s right or wrong, not me, not you. Only God knows.
