There will never be Resident Evil Games like these three. The music, the atmosphere, the survival aspect of it. Everything was so on point. No dumb first person, no shitty combat that was solely based on stupid action gameplay. The gothic vibe. Man I wish Resi 8 was in 3rd person and had Jill Valentine but in her resi 1 outfit or Leon in his resi 4 look. I think they are innovating the wrong aspects of the series, same with zelda. I much much prefer Skyward Sword over Botw, because man the dungeons and bosses are terrible in that game and those were the elements of series that I adored the most, but now they are slowely phased out in the name of "innovation", just like with Resident Evil. I just don't see why they wanna break with traditions so badly that literally are the things that define the games and the series as a whole.
, that's why the games have gone to shit since 4 , it's debatable for Revelations 1 & 2 as well, but for me it endeed with 4 and nothing can top it , we will never see a classic Resi title outside remakes like 2 ,which was good enough for me ngl, but with nemesis they fucked it up and the cycle continues
