SUBSECTIONS (aka user groups)

As a new independent site, unique characteristics should be added. A big main section can organized into subsections such as Reading, Exercise, Gaming and etc.
The number of posts in each subsections will be shown at user's profile to define his main interests.

Pros and advantages:
-Instead of loading a long page of mixed threads with meaningless prefixes like 'discussion, cope, lifestyle, venting', you get a sleek well alligned interface where you quickly click into a place where you want to be.
-You get both NEET lifestyle vibe and Cafe vibe from the same main section, divided into 10 or more niche subsections where you can both discuss seriously, and chill. Only one another main section will remain for rules, feedback and bans.
-You get familiar with a user instantly checking his profile in which topics he posted the most.
-With subsections users will be more comfortable going on about their own topic. They know that the right audience will catch on and join. Then you jump to another thread or subsection whenever you feel like. You no longer keep scrolling through random threads looking for activity, because all of the online members are wandering around doing the same.

Good suggestions, but it might be too much work for a site this small, I imagine the people who run this place are quite busy. Also it might come at the cost of simplicity, which this site is very good at.
