So the mother is 5'8 and the father is 6'2, and their 4yo son is at the 19th percentile in height and projected to be 5'7 as an adult. The parents made him get a bone age scan because they desperately wanted him to be a late bloomer (bone age younger than chronological age) due to his projected adult height being disabled (im not much taller btw and in a very similar position). They found out their sons bone age is the same as his chronological age so hes projected to be 5'7. They are looking for other answers like a health issue stunting his growth. It's absolutely brutal seeing these parents literally getting blood work and bone age scans done just because their son is shorter than average. This is how important height is, they are treating it like its a life or death situation. No shit they have some cause for worry because he is way shorter than what would be expected based on his parents' heights but they're treating him like hes extremely sick and disabled. because he has tall parents he could MAYBE reach 5'8 but hes never hitting average height unless they get hgh. judging by how worried they are about their 19th percentile son (still within 1sd of the mean so not LEGITIMATELY short to the point there could be cause for a medical concern), they could administer him hgh. its brutal for the son tbh. if he has siblings in the future (dont think he has any otherwise they wouldve said oh his sister or brother is way taller for their age), they will prolly mog him hard, his sister could even heightmog him.
