I was shown explicit photos—without my consent—of a Twitch streamer posing provocatively for money. The YouTube video I was watching included those images without acknowledging the irony of exposing someone who was clearly going through a difficult time, just trying to make ends meet. One of the poses, where he arched his back and lifted his hips, reminded me of something I once saw my brother doing while taking a selfie. When he realized I was there, he quickly turned around and adjusted his posture.
This is the same brother who once told me to kill myself while standing right behind me. When my expression changed, he responded with a ridiculous laugh, clearly enjoying the reaction.
He’s also the one who called me stupid in a public theater, with a toddler sitting right in front of us. He said it right after glancing to his right, where two people were whispering. I couldn’t help but assume their conversation was about me, especially given how they entered after us. At one point during the film, the toddler looked at me for a few seconds. I just stayed still and tried not to let it distract me, focusing on the movie instead.
