The nolife incel ambition to make video game

Guys I just feel like it's time for some of us take the blackpill. We will never make that video game. Stop wasting your time and stop letting yourself be controlled by your negligent lifestyle of consuming media all day. Stop this ambitions of making some JRPG with slightly superior mechanics to FFX, a fantasy party of entertaining interesting self inserts (all self inserts even the NT alcoholic tradition masculine dwarf who represents an idealised father figure or something u wish you had) that don't really have a reason to be together they just exist so they can have interactions with each other like a surrogate social circle. Just stop. It's never going to happen.

You have no discipline, skills or connections IRL anyway. And even if you muster the will to actually produce something it will be amateurish and a waste of time. I guess you could get a day job then waste all your free time on this artistic indie project... It's better than just rotting like I do. The issue is you're working 2 full time jobs but if you're actually hardworking + have a group of people to dev with who are equally dedicated and won't procrastinate (especially artists or whatever) then you can do it. You're pretty much set for life ngl, hard working ambitious with great networking skills. Good luck and very based.

I think I understand at least 2d games. Gameplay seems to be an infinite loop that checks the gamestate, calls variables and uses them to generate an image or link to a function that processes variables. Little values get changed everytime something relevant happens, so a sprite's state could be changed from 'stationary' to 'moving'. Inputs are recieved by the main loop every tick or something and used to do something like a pause screen blah blah blah

3d games must be far more complex though. It's not just images moving on a screen with some easy physics you need actual physics collision and all that BS

You need professional artists (background art, concept art, 3d modelling) and musicians + sound design for frontend then maths/physics geniuses for the backend yh videogames are like the ultimate artistic medium that combines everything

If you are dumb and can't do anything what are you going to do? Ideas guy? So are U a professional writer, manager or someone who's rich enough to fund your project?

And an Ys clone set in this colonial era fantasy setting.
