I've been a NEET for 13 years, and the secret is to just do whatever you want. I know that sounds simple and stupid, but if you want to be a successful NEET you have to learn to get in touch with what you actually want to do with your time. It is literally a skill. I could tell you what works for me, but everyone is different and you have to find your own path.

you have all the time in the world as a NEET, if you can spend years trying to figure out what you actually enjoy doing

"Do what you want" doesn't mean anything, though. What you want, what your body and primal nature wants, are different. What you want in the short term, in the medium term, and the long term are different.
