Discussion trans athletes being banned from competing in sports

today we had a discussion about the topic in my class.
it was mainly about the transathletes feeling excluded and on the other side
the world athletics president wanting to protect the female category

what do you think about this?
is it just to ban trans athletes
or should they be included

please tell me your view on this topic

btw in class i said that the topic irritated me cause there doesnt seem to be a solution that makes both parties happy

so i suggested they should be banned cause there are a minority and the suffering of a minority is less important than that of the majority

i cant think of anyway to solve this issue
someone suggested to make a different league which doesnt have any gender regulations but i dont think that would make trans athletes happy and it would probably not be profitable (low viewcount)
