1-females can`t be neets unless they are truly ugly,mentally ill and alone, above 28 years old with no husband and child.
2-true neets dont have girlfriends but there are exceptions. it is a strong sign though.
3-no, you are not a neet if you are under 23. three months of not doing anything at 19 doesnt mean you are a neet.

Yeah, most of the NEETs I know have gotten laid. I'd bet NEETs that get laid tend to have satisfying relationships in the real world so they're less likely to feel a need to come to obscure neet forums, that's my take on it.

Gatekeeping being an unemployed bastard though I agree with the third point, while it's technically true, most people who have a few months off from school or work wouldn't have properly internalized the NEET way. I hear wagies getting up here (7am) and I'm grateful to be a NEET, after a long day of gaming, I can sleep whenever. It's priceless to me, this freedom.

What I dont like is not having a social life and thoughts like “what will other people think, what if my parents are sad” etc. Societal ,career pressures and being alone are making my neet life unhappy.

It's not for everyone. I find most people I talk to are jealous of me being a NEET rather than hostile. My parents haven't been vocal against my neetdom and typically say they're jealous too. I have friends and a gf. In my scenario, it works, I got lucky in several ways.
