It's not an ISEA/Maute attack since it's not their style and they're laying down in very small groups spreading along several islands, including Mindanao itself in Lanao del Norte. I think it has something to do with some internal affairs or government related.

Crazy shit always goes down in cotabato

Some attacks happened in Maguindanao countryside a couple of months ago. According to authorities, they were carried out by Maute !S gangsters. One of the vehicles ambushed was a minibus if I recall correctly. There are still some rogue gangs out there but as far as I know, there are weapon dealers in Cotabato and other cities nearby that have dealt with ASG and Maute thugs before.
