Cabo Delgado: Movement of terrorists in Mocímboa da Praia once again creates panic within communities
A movement of terrorist groups in the administrative post of Mbau and villages of Naquitengue and Limala, in the district of Mocímboa da Praia, north of the province of Cabo Delgado, once again created fear and panic within the communities.
The information was confirmed yesterday, Monday (08), by the district administrator of Mocímboa da Praia, Sérgio Cipriano, ensuring that the mixed forces made up of FADM, Local Force and Rwandans are ready to maintain security.
“We have noticed some movements of small groups of terrorists in recent days, and the FADM, Local Force and Rwandan forces are doing everything to defend the population and guarantee security”, revealed the administrator quoted by the Zumbo FM Notícias portal, and then added that , “terrorists were seen in the areas of the administrative post of Mbau and the villages of Naquitengue and Limala, creating panic within the communities.
Meanwhile, the source called on the terrorists to abandon their weapons in order to help the district in the reconstruction process.
“We want to appeal to terrorists to leave their weapons and come and live in the communities, no one will harm you, leave their weapons so we can rebuild the district”, he concluded.
