With one of those cars, they kill like 15 to 20 soldiers. Borno forests do not help with Nigerian army defenses because they can surprise them from any flank. There's barely any aerial sorties against !SWAP terrorists.

MNJTF (a coalition composed by Chadian, Cameroon and Nigerian soldiers) has been trying to advance into Lake Chad (for a billionth time) since last week but they can't even take an ounce of Sambisa forest, for example. They keep getting ambushed and killed by dozens because their strategy basically sucks (moving in huge packs, while the infantry is lined up in front of those APCs and MRAPs).

TL;DR: it's another failed campaign and they haven't captured any significant locations. !SWAP (also cmposed by Boko remnants in various factions throughout Borno) is rolling out SVBIEDs even with elder people (picture above), so they're not in a rush. And regarding the manufacturing of SVBIEDs, it's a big sign that how much they've grown in West Africa, now holding large capabilities of producing those makeshift armored cars in large quantities.
