I would feel fucking weird for having any type of female as my avi. I'd imagine it's the same as putting on a dress.
Maybe if I was an FBI it would make sense. A common habit on forums and it gives halo, both of which make you less suspicious.

Your avi is kinda extension of yourself in my opinion. Sometimes we don't know the characters backstory so it might be confusing but there are so many waifu avis while we also know that forums are 99% female populated.
Maybe I'm the only one but I less likely take users seriously when they have waifu avis.
