I generally agree with your statement, but this omission wasn't done for aesthetic reasons.The same goes for Russian and French. There are some things that can only be expressed as gracefully and passionately in the native language. In exchange for translated media, you lose character, meaning, and emphasis, which changes how you experience whatever you're consuming. Nisio Isin's works are a great example of this.
