As a NEET, I'm free from work and the stress that comes with it. I have the freedom do more or less whatever I want day to day but as a result, I'm a slave to my own self doubt, depression and my lack of discipline and motivation.
I feel stuck in life, trapped and completely empty as a NEET. All I want is to find purpose in life. I've finally realised the only way to find purpose is through hard work and discipline.
Ironically, freedom comes from hard work and discipline. Whatever you're inclined to, if you're disciplined and work hard at it, you'll feel a sense of freedom.
The only times I feel a sense of freedom is when I'm running or working out. They both test my discipline and they're both hard work but I feel free in the moment and I'm happy afterwards.
All of us can do better and we're all capable of much more than we think, we just need to make an effort.
