However, in terms of real life, it'd have to be J.R.R. Tolkien or Osamu Dazai. I want to leave the sort of impact that they left, but with my writing.

Or so every NEET tells themselves. In reality, it's a stark contrast. As NEETs, we procrastinate and say, "I'll do it tomorrow"; tomorrow comes and we don't do it. The moment we apply ourselves, our hikki past haunts us. Job gaps, study or lack thereof, having to pay back family or friends if we borrowed money off them. The fact we were hikkis in the past also means we know the feeling of liberation that NEETdom brings. It makes working a much more grueling task. Some of us break out of it, many don't.
