Why do looksmax.org retards have such an obnoxious obsession with post:rep ratio

When I was there I had a negative ratio and constantly had autists telling me to end my life over a silly number on a forum for depressed Indians. There are people there who literally worship users with what they see as a "good" post:rep ratio. It wouldn't surprise me if they've had dreams about reps before.
