TBH, the gym is usually a failure for the majority of people.
Its a big commitment that's hard to keep. I'd say gymmaxxing is great if you already have a good exercise routine.

I'm one of those guys who only do the bench press and curls. There is an abandoned gym at my apartment building. It just feels good and there is nothing else to do anyway. I have wide shoulders because of that. Instead of a fat nerd look, I have a dad bod. I kinda look like this but younger with Kazakhstan genes mixed in...
