You mean people are desperate as in they are one paycheck away from homelessness, am I right? In regards to my thread, I am mostly referring to blue collar jobs since they've gotten oversaturated with thousands of black people (while the other half of migrants who come to my country live off welfare)... I am sure white collar industries aren't any better either way.
That would be a good way to put it, yeah. But with some people it's just pathetic, like they can only go on one vacation instead of two so they get all pissy. I don't know how to put it really.
Everyone's getting a college degree nowadays so that would require me to get one but, in order to stand out in any industry really you'd also have to partake in a master's degree program... BUT the IQ ceiling there is too high according to some studies (since I have an average IQ).
I'm the same way, I'm only going to get an Associate degree and stop there. Already know damn well I'm not sharp enough to go beyond that, it's just diminishing returns after a certain point.
Well, maybe we're not that far away from real implementation of UBI in most countries within the Western hemisphere since many people are about to end up unemployed (very soon by the looks of it) and this outcome will only lead to societal unrest within a very short timeframe (while further fueling the threat of domestic terrorism). Having to compete in this day and age as an average Joe isn't really worth it if you ask me.
