Walz talking about being a teacher and a coach of a football team:

Walz: "I coached my high school football team, and we won the state championship after a season in which we lost every game."

Vance: "That's a lie. Moderators, please fact-check him! He was only the assistant coach!"

Walz talking about his military achievements:

Walz: "I served 24 years in the Army National Guard and retired as a Command Sergeant Major, the highest enlisted rank."

Vance: "That's misleading. Moderators, please fact-check him! While it's true he reached the rank of Command Sergeant Major, he retired at the rank of Master Sergeant because he didn’t complete the necessary requirements to retire at his highest rank! Also, I was a war blogger in Iraq, while Walz retired from the military!"

I’d say it was a tie, they both did alright. Vance did better than I expect and Walz slipped up at the beginning but picked himself up later on (should’ve been a slam dunk debate for him but I guessed I overestimated him).

I was disappointed as well. It wasn't as entertaining as the Trump vs. Harris debate. I guess that just show us how nuts Trump is these days. Vance tried to portray himself as a sane person and I think he did a good job. He didn't talk about cats and dogs like before.
